Google Analytics Training
Biznet IIS were approached by the Northern Ireland Prison Service to provide integration with Google Analytics for NI Prison Service. The ability for staff members inside the Northern Ireland Prison Service to access, analyse and report on the data captured by Google Analytics was essential.
The Northern Ireland Prison Service commissioned Biznet IIS to provide detailed training to staff members, so all analysis of their website could become self-sufficient within the organisation. It was essential that users would be able to navigate freely and easily around the Google Analytics interface, as well as become familiar with more of the technical aspects of the software.
The training programme was delivered during a half day session to 2 members from the Northern Ireland Prison Service, at the Biznet IIS offices. Each user was able to have ‘hands on’ training by logging in directly to their Google account. Practical exercises where incorporated into the session.
The training focused on the following areas:
- Google Analytics interface overview
- Profiles – adding, modifying and deleting
- Visitor statistics
- Traffic sources analysis
- Content reports – top pages, bounce rates, exit pages
- Goals – determining a goal, configuration, analysis
- Filters – configuration
